Merry Christmas

A Merry Christmas to all of the boys and their parents.

Hopefully the boys will keep off the chocolates and mince pies ! However if they don't not to worry !

v South Gower Sunday 16th December

As a lot of the boys go to school together this was a real local derby. The boys had been winding each other up all week and for us it was a must win game. It was hard fought game which we eventually won 56 : 12, both sides tried to play expansive rugby , however it was the dominance of the Mumbles forwards that eventually won the game. Despite being outplatyed at thre ruck the pick and drive from the Mumbles forwards destoyed South Gower. Mitchell Walsh again showed an ernormous capacity for work with driving runs and the ability to steal ball at the maul. Try of the match was scored by Lewis Jones who sprinted in after a wonderful handling movement by the entire back line. At the end of the day it was a satisfying result with eight tries scored, Scorers were Josh (2), Ben(2), Cian, Rhys and Lewis, Jack B kicked 8 conversions.

Weather beat us

Once again the weather has beaten us. Underhill looked more like a lake rather than a rugby pitch, however South Gower have agreed to play us next Sunday (16.12).

As long as the park dries up we will meet at Underhill at 10.00 am for a bit of training to pepare us for the match.

Due to the Ospreys match against Ulster, Training will start at 5.30. Can all parents ensure that they return at 6.30 prompt to collect the boys.

South Gower Update

Sunday's match agaist South Gower will now be played at home. All players to meet at Underhill at 10.30.

Pontardawe Sunday 25th November

Against Pontardawe the boys played very well, both forwards and backs linked in a very open running game. Despite the scoreline 45-5 and the fact that nine tries were scored it did not reflect the competitiveness of Pontardawe who made us work very hard. We had worked hard in training on our rucking and at last it paid off with the forwards supplying quick ball to the backs. Defensively our tackling was very good, with Sam Kenny putting in some very strong hits. Try Scorers were Ben B (3),Jack B, Joe, Mac, Tommi, Mitchell and Rhys.
